The International Humanistic Management Association (IHMA) welcomes you to join Sandra Waddock with Chris Laszlo, Professor of Organizational Behavior at Case Western Reserve University's Weatherhead School of Management, for an Intellectual Shamans webinar on Friday, September 10, 2021, at noon EDT. Chris will discuss his own Journey to Flourishing, with an Excursion into Prospective Theorizing.

Prospection ("the mental representation and evaluation of possible futures") offers scholars a powerful new method for researching with social impact. Quantum science is giving fresh impetus to the idea that prospective theorizing calls forth a reality rather than objectively studying a world "out there". Chris discusses theory building as well as the ontological and epistemological implications of quantum perspectives in the social sciences. He raises probing questions into what prospective theorizing means for you and for the future of research aimed at tackling wicked problems from climate change to social equity.

The Intellectual Shaman series is hosted by IHMA as a Faculty Development format. It is co-sponsored by the Galligan Chair of Strategy at Boston College.
