Critical Management Studies (CMS)

Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite our CMS community to the Critical Management Studies Doctoral Dissertation Award Workshop, taking place on 31 March 2026 at 15:00 GMT.

The objective of the workshop is to explain more about the 2026 CMS Doctoral Dissertation Award, please register on the link bellow to attend and you will receive the link to access the virtual workshop.

The workshop will be an excellent opportunity to engage in dialogue about emerging CMS research, share insights from the doctoral journey, the CMS Dissertation Award and how to apply and build connections within the CMS community.

Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Karel Musilek (Cardiff Business School) who won the award in 2020 for his thesis "Making Life Work: Work and Life in Coliving". We will have a podcast style conversation with Dr. Karel about his research, the importance of CMS research in this day and age and the impact of the award on his career. Our panel will be completed by Professors Ghazal Zulfiqar and Marcos Barros, editors of Organization which sponsors the award.
