The World Social Forum 2021 (Virtual Edition) kicked off this weekend and we're excited to be participating in its 20th year!
For those of you who don't know about the
World Social Forum, it's a self-organizing peoples 'un-conference' scheduled around Davos -- that other conference where the world's uber-wealthy one-percenters gather to "save" the world. But in happy contrast, the world SOCIAL forum is about PEOPLE, organizing to change the structures that created the mess in the first place. We premiered the first film,
The Corporation, for the world at the WSF in Mumbai in 2004 so it's perfect that we're going to be there again with
The New Corporation: The Unfortunately Necessary Sequel.
And now, in the midst of COVID and so much turmoil, we really need this film to be seen so it can make a difference. It's a chance to join grassroots forces to get this film out through a worldwide virtual launch of community screenings. And we can't do this without a community. Will you help us?
