    Faculty/Directorate

    The Department of Management and Entrepreneurship, a key component of the Leicester Castle Business School and offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to more than 2,000 students. As an institution, our rapidly growing academic community delivers outstanding learning experience to students (as evidenced by recent NSS and TEF performances) We are also an active research community, evidenced by the Department's Centre for Enterprise and Innovation with over 45 faculty researchers.

    Role

    As part of our continued growth drive, we are seeking to appoint three Lecturer/Senior Lecturers in Business and Management. Successful candidates will be joining a large and diverse subject team whose expertise span the broad areas of strategy and business management.

    The role aims to combine research and scholarly activity in pursuit of teaching excellence. It places particular emphasis in developing internationalization and employability throughout the curriculum with the aim of providing a distinctive student experience.

    The institution has a rigorous scheme for the allocation of research allowances that are comparable with the best in the sector, and which is open to all its academic staff. The post holder will have an opportunity to be part of a lively research culture with research seminars & workshops, and Departmental/Faculty-wide resources for conference participation.

    The salary for this post ranges between Grade F £34,804 – Grade G £49,553.

    Ideal Candidate

    You must have demonstrable experience of UG and/or PG teaching. Ideally you should be able to teach one or more of the following: Strategy, Business Environment/ Sustainability, Critical Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Ethics, Operations/Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Crisis & Risk Management.

    You should be innovative in their approach to teaching, and active in engaging with external stakeholders. You should be developing (L) or have a portfolio of research activities (SL) that offer realistic prospects for publication in international refereed journals.

    Ideally the research portfolio should revolve round one or more of the areas of; strategy, innovation management, CSR, sustainability, operations, and general management. The successful candidates, we offer a collegiate environment for the development of your research & teaching.
